London, UK — Lloyd’s managing agency AEGIS London today announced that Tom Busher, previously non-executive chair of the board’s Risk Committee, has succeeded William Dalton as non-executive chair of the board upon his retirement and Christopher M. Crane, President and CEO of leading US energy supplier Exelon Corporation, has been appointed a non-executive director of the company. Both appointments are with immediate effect.

Tom Busher was a founding member of senior management at Montpelier Re, serving in various roles between 2001 and 2013, including Chief Operating Officer, Director, and Deputy Chairman. He also served as Non-executive Chairman of Montpelier at Lloyd’s from 2008 until 2015 and prior to that, between 1985 and 2001, held various roles at Wellington Underwriting plc including Director and Group Secretary. He has been an Independent Director of AEGIS London’s parent, AEGIS (Associated Electric & Gas Insurance Services Limited), since October 27, 2016.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Christopher M. Crane is President and Chief Executive Officer of Chicago-based Exelon Corporation, the leading US energy provider, which he joined in 1997. Exelon is a member of AEGIS, of which Mr. Crane has been a director since January 1, 2015.

Mr. Crane oversees a family of companies representing every stage of the energy supply chain, including Exelon Generation, one of the largest US power generators.  Mr. Crane is Vice-chairman and a member of the executive committee of the Edison Electric Institute. He also serves as Vice-chairman of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, the industry organisation promoting the highest levels of safety and reliability in nuclear plant operation. From 1988 to 1997, he was Vice President of the Tennessee Valley Authority.
