AEGIS London hires Jerry Hyne

London, UK — AEGIS London has announced that Jerry Hyne has joined the Lloyd’s syndicate from Canopius. Hyne, who starts immediately, spent 15 years at Canopius as Head of Professional Indemnity (PI). AEGIS London is a recognised PI leader in Lloyd’s, covering a range of classes and occupations including accountants, insurance brokers, architects & engineers and miscellaneous business.  

Hyne has over 30 years of underwriting experience in PI, as well as Commercial Legal Expenses, Warranty and Indemnity Insurance and Legal Title insurance.

Earlier this week, AEGIS London announced the promotion of Toby Sawyer to Head of Property. According to the firm, Sawyer’s promotion and Hyne’s appointment builds on their drive for disciplined profitable growth.
