AEGIS London, a top quartile Lloyd’s syndicate, has appointed Robert M. Blue as a Non-Executive Director, further strengthening its board. Blue is a member of the board of Associated Electric & Gas Insurance Services Limited (“AEGIS”), AEGIS London’s parent company and the Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Dominion Energy (“Dominion”), a Fortune 500 electric and natural gas utility company.
Joining Dominion in 2005, Mr. Blue has held a series of senior leadership roles across regulatory, operational, and public policy functions. He became President and CEO in October 2020 and Chairman in April 2021. Previously, Mr. Blue served as Counselor to the Governor of Virginia and as Director of Policy for Governor Mark Warner. Earlier in his career, he practiced law at Hogan & Hartson (now Hogan Lovells). Mr. Blue holds a B.A. with Honors from the University of Virginia, a J.D. from Yale Law School, and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Mr. Blue serves on the boards of several major energy industry and civic organizations, including the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (chair), the Edison Electric Institute, the Nuclear Energy Institute, AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc., and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, among others. His appointment reinforces AEGIS London’s commitment to ensuring its board reflects the breadth of governance and financial experience and expertise needed to support its continued growth.
